A man from Akron, Ohio, has been sentenced to 46 months in federal prison for his role in a methamphetamine trafficking operation. Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti announced the sentencing of Charles Woods, aged 67.
United States District Judge Christy Criswell Wiegand delivered the sentence. According to court information, Woods was identified as a supplier for a drug trafficking network operating between Akron, Ohio, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Authorities found approximately 294 grams of methamphetamine at Woods’ residence. In court, Woods admitted to conspiring to distribute and distributing between 500 grams and 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine over five months.
Assistant United States Attorney Rebecca L. Silinski prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.
Acting United States Attorney Rivetti praised Homeland Security Investigations, the United States Postal Inspection Service, and the Pennsylvania State Police for their roles in investigating and successfully prosecuting Woods.
