A Bucks County resident, Richard Adamsky, 66, of Warminster, Pennsylvania, has been arrested and indicted on federal child pornography charges. According to an announcement from United States Attorney David Metcalf, Adamsky faces one count of receipt and attempted receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Adamsky is scheduled to make his initial appearance in federal court tomorrow.

The indictment states that on or about June 15, 2024, Adamsky knowingly received a visual depiction involving a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct. It further alleges that he possessed two computers and two flash drives containing images of minors involved in sexually explicit acts. These images reportedly included prepubescent children and minors under the age of 12.

If found guilty, Adamsky could face up to 40 years in prison with a mandatory minimum sentence of five years.

This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, a national effort launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. The initiative brings together federal, state, and local agencies to investigate and prosecute individuals who exploit children online and to identify victims. More information about Project Safe Childhood can be found at projectsafechildhood.gov.

The investigation was conducted by FBI Philadelphia’s Fort Washington Resident Agency along with the Warminster Township Police Department, Upper Merion Township Police Department, and Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Maureen McCartney is handling the prosecution.

“The charges and allegations contained in the indictment are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty in court,” according to the statement from authorities.
