The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced that Marvin Isaac Dagoc, a 27-year-old resident of Lakeside, California, has been indicted by a federal grand jury. The charges against Dagoc include engaging in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.
Acting United States Attorney John Gurganus stated that the indictment alleges Dagoc enticed a minor to engage in illicit sexual conduct from January to March 2025. It is further alleged that he traveled to Lycoming County in March 2025 to engage in such conduct and produced child pornography on March 17, 2025.
The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alisan V. Martin is leading the prosecution.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project coordinates resources from federal, state, and local levels to apprehend individuals who exploit children and rescue victims.
Under federal law, the maximum penalty for these offenses can be life imprisonment, followed by supervised release and a fine. Sentencing will be determined by a judge based on federal statutes and guidelines if guilt is established.
It should be noted that indictments are merely allegations; all charged individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
