A Clairton, Pennsylvania resident has been sentenced to 48 months in federal prison for violating narcotics laws. Mark Cook, aged 58, will also serve a three-year term of supervised release following his imprisonment. This sentence was handed down by United States District Judge William S. Stickman IV.

The court heard that from July 2022 to June 2023, Cook supplied cocaine and crack cocaine to codefendants for resale in Pittsburgh’s Hill District neighborhood. In delivering the sentence, Judge Stickman remarked on the seriousness of Cook’s actions and their impact on families and citizens in the area.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Katherine C. Jordan, representing the government. Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti acknowledged the efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police in investigating and successfully prosecuting Cook.

This case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation aimed at dismantling high-level drug traffickers and criminal organizations through a coordinated multi-agency approach involving federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
