Brandon Kifer, a resident of Morrisdale, Pennsylvania, was sentenced on Mar. 26 to 121 months in federal prison followed by four years of supervised release after being convicted of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine, according to United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.

The case underscores ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to address the distribution of dangerous drugs in the region. The sentence reflects the seriousness with which federal authorities are treating cases involving fentanyl and methamphetamine.

United States District Judge Stephanie L. Haines handed down the sentence after evidence showed that from February 2023 through March 2023, Kifer conspired to distribute and possessed with intent to distribute at least 40 grams of a mixture containing fentanyl and at least 50 grams of methamphetamine in the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Assistant United States Attorney Maureen Sheehan-Balchon prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The investigation involved both the Drug Enforcement Administration and Pennsylvania State Police.

Rivetti commended these agencies for their work leading up to Kifer’s prosecution. The case highlights continued cooperation between federal and state authorities in combating illegal drug activity.
