A former Erie resident has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for fentanyl trafficking and possession of stolen firearms. Djimon Dapree Johnson, 27, received the sentence from United States District Judge Susan Paradise Baxter on July 24, 2025. The sentence will be followed by four years of supervised release.

According to court information, Johnson was found with 382.61 grams of a mixture containing fentanyl on October 20, 2021. He also possessed two stolen firearms and a 50-round 9mm drum magazine as a convicted felon. Federal law prohibits felons from possessing firearms or ammunition.

Judge Baxter ordered that Johnson’s federal sentence be served consecutively to his current sentence for violating parole related to an unlicensed firearm conviction.

Assistant United States Attorney Molly W. Anglin prosecuted the case. Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti praised the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Pennsylvania State Police for their investigation efforts leading to Johnson’s prosecution.
