Eric Rodriguez, a 32-year-old inmate at FCI Allenwood, has been sentenced to 21 months in prison for possessing contraband while incarcerated. The sentencing was handed down by Chief United States District Judge Matthew W. Brann.

Acting United States Attorney John Gurganus stated that Rodriguez was indicted by a federal grand jury after a random pat search revealed he had a razor blade with a handle fashioned from electrical tape. Rodriguez entered a guilty plea to the charge of possessing contraband in prison prior to his sentencing.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation into the incident. Assistant U.S. Attorney Robin Zenzinger prosecuted the case.
