A Philadelphia man has pleaded guilty to a security violation at Philadelphia International Airport. Tiriq Henson, 33, admitted in federal court to one count of entering an airport area in violation of security requirements. The plea was entered before United States District Judge Gail A. Weilheimer.

According to information provided by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Henson was charged in May 2025 following an incident that occurred on March 9, 2024. At the time, Henson worked as a wheelchair assistant at the airport. Prosecutors stated that he allowed another individual, identified as Person #1, to use his airport-issued Secure Identification Display Area badge to access secure and sterile parts of the facility.

United States Attorney David Metcalf announced the plea and confirmed that sentencing is scheduled for December 16. Henson faces up to ten years in prison.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation led the investigation into the case, which is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Priya De Souza.
