A federal grand jury has indicted Terric M. Seay, 24, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on charges related to carjacking and firearms offenses. The indictment alleges that Seay used a firearm during the carjacking incident and caused serious bodily injury to the victim. He is also charged with possessing a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

United States Attorney Brian D. Miller stated: “The indictment alleges that Seay carjacked the victim, using a firearm to inflict serious bodily injury. The indictment also charges Seay with possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.”

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), York City Police Department, and Lower Allen Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Michael Scalera is handling the prosecution.

This case falls under Operation Take Back America, an initiative led by the Department of Justice aimed at combating illegal immigration and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime.

If convicted, Seay could face up to life imprisonment along with fines and supervised release as determined by federal sentencing statutes and guidelines.

Authorities emphasized that indictments are allegations only; all individuals charged are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
