Kyle Eugene Gordon, 37, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison followed by three years of supervised release for escaping from federal custody. The sentence was issued by United States District Judge Karoline Mehalchick.
Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus stated that Gordon was a federal inmate at the Capital Pavilion Residential Reentry Center in Dauphin County, where he was serving a sentence related to narcotics and firearms offenses. On October 7, 2024, Gordon escaped from the facility and was apprehended eight days later by U.S. Marshals.
The investigation into the escape was conducted by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force. Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Scalera prosecuted the case.
