A man from Penn Run, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 57 months in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release for drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession. The sentencing was announced by United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.

Eldon Sajko, 55, received the sentence from United States District Judge Stephanie L. Haines after being convicted of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin. He was also convicted of possessing a firearm and ammunition as a previously convicted felon.

Court records show that on March 21, 2021, Sajko possessed more than 500 grams of methamphetamine along with quantities of cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin in the Western District of Pennsylvania. On the same day, he illegally possessed a firearm and ammunition due to his prior felony conviction. Federal law prohibits felons from possessing firearms or ammunition. Additionally, on July 27, 2022, Sajko was found with more than 50 grams of methamphetamine intended for distribution.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Arnold P. Bernard Jr.

United States Attorney Rivetti recognized the efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Laurel Highlands Resident Agency Safe Streets Task Force, Pennsylvania State Police, and Indiana Borough Police Department for their roles in investigating the case.
