Jazmyn Warshawsky, a 26-year-old resident of Olyphant, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 36 months in prison and a term of supervised release for her role in a drug offense. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Karoline Mehalchick on November 19, 2025.
United States Attorney Brian D. Miller stated that Warshawsky had previously pleaded guilty to attempting to possess with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine. According to Miller, “Warshawsky admitted that on or about May 26, 2023, in Lackawanna County, Warshawsky received and possessed a United States Postal Service mail package that she believed contained a large quantity of controlled substances.” Investigators watched as she took possession of the package and brought it to her co-defendant’s home in Luzerne County. Authorities later seized the package along with other controlled substances from that location. In total, investigators recovered over two kilograms of methamphetamine and nearly four kilograms of marijuana.
The investigation involved cooperation among several agencies: the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Lackawanna County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Gerard Donahue prosecuted the case.
The prosecution is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), which is a coordinated effort by federal, state, and local authorities aimed at reducing violent crime through targeted enforcement strategies and community partnerships. The program brings together various stakeholders to address key issues related to violent crime and works with prevention and reentry initiatives for lasting impact.
