Jon Robert Donohue, 32, of Pittston, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 120 months in prison and four years of supervised release for drug trafficking and firearms offenses. The sentence was handed down on August 27, 2025, by Senior United States District Judge Robert D. Mariani.
Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus stated that on May 9, 2022, Donohue was under house arrest in Luzerne County when probation officers learned he was involved in drug trafficking and had firearms. A search of his home led to the seizure of hundreds of rounds of ammunition, seven firearms—including a stolen weapon—drug paraphernalia, 593 grams of methamphetamine, 782 grams of cocaine, 72 grams of MDMA, and 1.3 kilograms of marijuana. Donohue was not allowed to possess firearms due to his prior criminal record.
The investigation involved the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Luzerne County Drug Task Force, and the Luzerne County Adult Probation and Parole Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jenny P. Roberts prosecuted the case.
