Michigan man pleads guilty in Pittsburgh federal court to cocaine trafficking

A Michigan man has admitted to participating in a cocaine trafficking conspiracy, according to an announcement from First Assistant United States Attorney Troy Rivetti. Roy Brown, 56, of Westland, Michigan, pleaded guilty on October 21, 2025 before United States District Judge Robert J. Colville.

Brown admitted to conspiring to distribute cocaine between August 2023 and August 2024. Sentencing is set for March 10, 2026. The offense carries a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million. The actual sentence will depend on the seriousness of the crime and Brown’s prior criminal history.

Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller is prosecuting the case.

Multiple agencies contributed to the investigation that led to Brown’s prosecution. These include the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Lawrence County Drug Task Force, New Castle Police Department, Michigan State Police, Pennsylvania State Police, Mercer County Drug Task Force, United States Postal Inspection Service, Department of Homeland Security, and Douglas County (Nebraska) Sheriff’s Office.
