Ivan Nicholas Baez, 46, of Kunkletown, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 262 months in federal prison for child pornography offenses. The sentence was handed down on October 23, 2025, by United States District Judge Julia K. Munley.

According to United States Attorney Brian D. Miller, the Pennsylvania State Police executed a search warrant in May 2024 to seize and examine Baez’s cell phone. Authorities found about 150 images and videos depicting child sexual abuse material on the device. Some of these were created using the cell phone and showed Baez engaging in sexual acts with minors as young as approximately ten years old. It was also revealed that Baez served as a caretaker for one of the minors involved.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant United States Attorney Jenny P. Roberts prosecuted the case.

This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to address child sexual exploitation and abuse crimes. The program brings together federal, state, and local resources to identify, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children and to rescue victims.
