Montgomery County man receives nearly 17-year sentence for methamphetamine trafficking

Jelani Christmas, 42, from King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 200 months in prison and five years of supervised release for drug trafficking. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Joel H. Slomsky.

United States Attorney David Metcalf announced the sentencing. Christmas had previously pleaded guilty in June to one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine after being charged in April.

According to court documents and admissions by Christmas, he trafficked methamphetamine in Montgomery and Bucks counties during 2024. Law enforcement executed a search warrant on August 14, 2024, on a van driven by Christmas. Officers found a hidden compartment containing more than 50 kilograms (about 111 pounds) of methamphetamine.

The investigation involved the Montgomery County Detective Bureau, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Assistant United States Attorneys Lindsey Mills, John Boscia, and Rebecca Kulik prosecuted the case.
