The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania will conduct oral argument sessions in the Supreme Court courtroom at the City-County building in Pittsburgh on April 14, 15, and 16, beginning each day at 9:30 a.m., according to an April 8 announcement.

These sessions provide an opportunity for the public to observe proceedings before the state’s highest court. The court is scheduled to hear several cases during these three days, with seating available on a first-come-first-served basis. Audio links are provided for each session; however, use of these audio streams for publication purposes is prohibited.

Court officials remind attendees that electronic or recording devices such as cell phones, cameras, laptops, and smart watches are not permitted inside the courtroom. The full list of cases and session calendar can be accessed online.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court serves as both the definitive interpreter of Pennsylvania’s Constitution and laws and holds full administrative authority over all aspects of the state’s judicial system. It may also take up cases involving issues of immediate public importance from any court within Pennsylvania.

Additional resources about the role and work of the Supreme Court—including a civics education toolkit—are available through its official website and social media channels.
