A Pittsburgh resident has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for his involvement in a drug trafficking conspiracy, according to an announcement from Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.
Cayce Williams, 23, from the Allentown neighborhood of Pittsburgh, was convicted of conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl and cocaine. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Marilyn J. Horan.
Court records indicate that Williams participated in the conspiracy between March 2024 and July 2024. He acted as a redistributor of street-level quantities of fentanyl and cocaine during this period.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Katherine C. Jordan and Kelly M. Locher.
Acting United States Attorney Rivetti recognized the Federal Bureau of Investigation for its role in the investigation that led to Williams’s prosecution. “Acting United States Attorney Rivetti commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Williams.”
This case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation. The OCDETF program focuses on identifying, disrupting, and dismantling major drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs, and transnational criminal organizations that pose threats within the United States through coordinated efforts among various law enforcement agencies.
