A Pittsburgh man has been sentenced to more than five years in federal prison for armed fentanyl trafficking. Marques Coffey, 21, received a sentence of 63 months of imprisonment followed by five years of supervised release. The sentencing was handed down by Senior United States District Judge David S. Cercone on August 5, 2025.

Court records show that on March 4, 2023, Coffey was found in possession of fentanyl with the intent to distribute it. He also had a Glock firearm equipped with an automatic conversion kit at the time. Both the drugs and the weapon were recovered from a satchel Coffey was carrying when law enforcement apprehended him.

Assistant United States Attorney Nicole A. Stockey prosecuted the case.

Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti said, “The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the Bellevue Borough Police Department [are commended] for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Coffey.”

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and local police worked together during this investigation.
