In a compelling legal battle, a Pennsylvania man is seeking justice after suffering severe injuries from a dog attack at a private residence. The complaint was filed by Matteo D’Addezio on January 23, 2026, in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County against David Carlson and Heather Nardone. D’Addezio claims that the defendants failed to control their aggressive dog, resulting in two separate attacks that left him with lasting physical and emotional trauma.

The incident took place over two days in November 2025, when D’Addezio was working as a subcontractor installing flooring at the defendants’ home located at 624 Glendale Road, Newtown Square. According to the complaint, upon his arrival on November 21st, he was first attacked by the dog but managed to escape serious injury due to wearing a thick sweatshirt. Despite being assured by Carlson that the dog would be kept away, D’Addezio returned the next day only to be bitten again while taking out trash. This second attack resulted in significant injuries including bite wounds to his lower back and buttocks area, pain in various parts of his body, and psychological distress.

D’Addezio’s lawsuit accuses Carlson and Nardone of negligence for failing to properly restrain or supervise their dog despite knowing its vicious tendencies. The complaint details numerous failures on the part of the defendants such as not keeping the dog in an enclosure or under control and allowing it to roam freely around the premises. It also highlights their failure to warn visitors about the potential danger posed by their pet.

The plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages for medical expenses incurred due to extensive treatments required for his injuries and mental health issues stemming from the attacks. He also seeks compensation for lost earnings due to impaired earning capacity and loss of enjoyment of life’s pleasures he previously enjoyed before these incidents. The suit demands damages exceeding arbitration limits along with interest, costs, and any other relief deemed just by the court.

Representing Matteo D’Addezio is attorney Erin L. Bock from Morgan & Morgan Philadelphia PLLC. The case will be heard under Judge’s supervision with Case ID yet unspecified.
