The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced that Darious Felder, a 34-year-old resident of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, faces charges related to drug trafficking. A federal grand jury indicted Felder on these charges.

Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus explained that the indictment accuses Felder of conspiring with others from January 2025 to April 25, 2025, in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. The allegations include distributing and possessing with intent to distribute over 50 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine. The indictment further claims that Felder engaged in similar activities on three occasions during March and April 2025.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), along with the Shenandoah Police Department and the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office, are handling the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney James M. Buchanan is responsible for prosecuting the case.

This legal action is part of Operation Take Back America, a national initiative by the Department of Justice aimed at combating illegal immigration and dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations. This operation integrates efforts from various task forces including the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).

Under federal law, the offenses carry a maximum penalty of forty years imprisonment, followed by supervised release and a fine. Sentencing will be determined by a judge after considering federal statutes and guidelines.

It is important to note that indictments are merely accusations, and all individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
