Patricia O’Mahoney has taken legal action, filing a civil complaint against multiple defendants over a slip and fall incident. The complaint was filed on November 13, 2025, in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas against Dan T. Nguyen, Tien Sophia M. Quan, the Township of Haverford, and the County of Delaware.
The case centers around an incident that occurred on November 17, 2023, when Patricia O’Mahoney allegedly tripped and fell due to a dangerous and defective sidewalk condition at 216 Glen Gary Drive in Havertown, Pennsylvania. According to the complaint, the uneven sidewalk was caused by negligent construction or maintenance work and lacked necessary warnings or barricades to alert pedestrians. O’Mahoney claims that this hazardous condition led to her sustaining serious injuries including sprains and bruises which have disrupted her daily life significantly.
O’Mahoney’s lawsuit accuses the defendants of failing in their duty to maintain safe premises for pedestrians. The plaintiff alleges that the defendants were aware or should have been aware of the unsafe conditions but did not take appropriate measures to rectify them or warn individuals using the sidewalk. The complaint details various failures on part of the defendants such as improper maintenance practices and inadequate inspection protocols which contributed to the unsafe environment.
The plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages exceeding $50,000 for medical expenses incurred due to her injuries as well as compensation for pain and suffering, loss of earnings, and diminished earning capacity resulting from the accident. Additionally, she requests pre- and post-judgment interest along with any other relief deemed just by the court.
Representing Patricia O’Mahoney is attorney Christopher P. Fleming from Leonard Sciolla LLP. The case has been assigned under Case ID: November Term 2025 in Delaware County Court of Common Pleas.
