A man from Moscow, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to more than 17 years in prison for attempting to produce child pornography. Christopher Foster, 31, received a 210-month sentence on November 14, 2025, from Senior United States District Judge Malachy E. Mannion.
United States Attorney Brian D. Miller stated that between December 23, 2022, and December 27, 2023, Foster communicated with a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old using X-Box, video calls, and social media platforms. Over the course of a year, Foster instructed the children to create and send sexually explicit images of themselves in exchange for “V-Bucks,” which are used as in-game currency in Fortnite.
Authorities executed a search warrant at Foster’s residence on December 27, 2023. They seized computers, cell phones, and a gaming device belonging to Foster. Investigators found thousands of images of child sexual abuse material on these devices. Some of these materials included images and videos of the 12-year-old engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
Foster admitted to contacting the victims and requesting explicit content from them. He also confessed to distributing the material on the dark web.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation – Philadelphia Division led the investigation with assistance from the Pennsylvania State Police and the Wayne County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Tatum R. Wilson prosecuted the case.
“This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
