Joseph Gallego, 37, of York, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 151 months in prison on drug trafficking charges. The sentencing took place on August 28, 2025, before United States District Judge Keli M. Neary.
According to Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus, Gallego pleaded guilty on October 18, 2024, to possession with intent to distribute cocaine. Surveillance conducted by the York County Drug Task Force led officers to a residence in York County where Gallego was seen entering. Upon arrival at the location, officers encountered two conspirators at the door and conducted a safety sweep that resulted in finding Gallego in the basement. With consent to search the premises, agents recovered a loaded Glock model 40 semiautomatic pistol, over 76 grams of cocaine base in one bag and an additional smaller quantity in another bag, as well as a digital scale.
The investigation was carried out by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the York County Drug Task Force. Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott Ford prosecuted the case.
